ill go where you want me to go dear lord‏

Hey family and friends!

I hope that everyone had a great week! You all sound so busy! I loved that picture of Aniston on the potty=) I want to hear how Bens Medical School interveiw went. I am sure he did great! However, I secretly hope he didnt do too great because I want him to go to med school in Az not Iowa! I am stoked that awsome things are happening for him though! and he has placed two books of Mormon. Way to go bro=) I sure hope Clair doesnt die! I sure worry about him! That is so great that chun scored 4 goals that basketball game. I mean points. =) Oh dad, I am worried about his foot. I bet he looked pretty graceful out there on that ice though.=) Ok how did I not know that Ben was an AP on his mission?

So this week has been insane. I feel like it has lasted a year. So last monday and tuesday I was still in Redlands. I was able to say goodbye to people, and teach E_____ for the last time. I am so happy that I get to go back for her baptism on Saturday. It was hard to say bye I am not going to lie however, I know that the lord needed me to leave. =) I love everyone there so much and Redlands was amazing. The worst part was saying bye to sister Straatman. haha and apparently the ward was not very happy that we were getting separated. She will forever be one of my best friends. We are so close and I am so glad I was able to be her companion.

Then came Wednesday. Transfers=) I met another sister at the mission office who was going to the same area I was going and we were going to ride out there together. I was secretly hoping I would be able to drive. However unfortunaly I am red dotted... which means I may have gotten one too many tickets in my life before I came on my mission, so driving is off limits to me, for a little while anyways=) Well we got lost... and we had no phone.... so it was an adventure but eventually we found our way. My new area is Yucaipa 4th ward. Yucaipa is so interesting. It for sure does not come to mind when you think southern California. There are some times in my area where I feel like I am living back in Star VAlley! it is so weird. There are horeses and feilds everywhere. I am living in a homeshare with the Palmers and I absolutly love them! They have three little girls and they are adorable. we have chickens and dogs. they are pretty loaded lets just say. There are other times I feel like I am in Utah and other times I feel like I am in idaho and then I feel like I am in Cali sometimes too. It throws me for a loop sometimes.

So before I came here the the mission president talked to me about a few things that needed to happen here. The people here are great. I love the people of the ward I have met so far. However, there was some lack of trust in missionaries.. they have had some disobediance issues here and it has caused some damage. The area is having some difficulties. So the first day we got here we started to fast and pray to help us get things going. We have been working hard. lots and lots of walking and traking down formers and potenials and lots of walking=)  I have never been so tired in my life It has been Challenging but I know that we will be blessed. My new comp is Sister Munoz she is from.............Wyoming=) So we get it=) also , did you know that Elder Bednars wife is from star valley?? Anyway I am excited to learn from Sister Munoz. She doesnt have a lot to say so I have been learning how to love silence.

This has been a lot of transitioning so next week I am sure I will have more to say. We got a new investigator this morning and taught her and we are teaching her agian tommorrow so I am pretty excited about that. Any way that is what is going on over here =)

love you all,
sister webb

and p.s. you better have a non member family or friend in your home for dinner in the next 3 weeks or else=)

remembering sunday - ATL

Hey family and friends!

This week has been cruhazzy!  the work is for sure Hastening here!

Monday night I had the opportunity to go to a family home eveing with a bunch of really old people in a rest home, and yes they were really old. It was so great and im not going to lie super funny =) it was one loud yelling fest because no one could hear anything. At one point I asked the question " How have you seen Christ change your life?" They all thought I was talking about a movie and they were all " No I don't think we have seen that movie," I then asked, " How have you come to know your Savior?" to try and clear up the confusion to which they responded, " NO, i dont think we have seen that one either." it was great =) Oh and me and one of the older men were wearing matching cardigans...=) needles today i unsuccessfully tried to hide my laughter. It was so great but i learned so much from them and the stories of their faithful lives I truly hope to become like them in this life.

We helped T___clean the room of her son who died last week. not going to lie it was an awkward feeling. However, we were able to teach her so much about the plan of salvation. I just wish there was more we could do for her. I cant even comprehend how it must feel to be her. We did a lot of less active work this week. we are seeing so much success in less active work. 3 went to church and 1 said she is coming and wants to take the missionary lessons. I love them all so much! Wow I have been so blessed to know all these people. We planned E_______ baptism this week=) it is so amazing to see the difference in her! She went form being a girl with blue hair and gages to getting baptized! We were so busy this week ! it seemed like we were running from appointment to appointment. I have prayed so much this week! and we picked up two new investigators!  We had Stake conference and it was all about Hastening the work. Family please go online and look up the Hastening the work link! We were able to hear from President Iring. I love that man. One thing is said really stood out to me. There are many people who are searching for the gospel who wont raise their hands and ask for help because their hands are too tiered. We really need to be a light to people so that they can have hope. I have been working on building my faith so much this week Elder Holland has the best faith formula! " The formula of faith is to hold on, work on, see it through, and let distress of earlier hours-real or imagined- fall away in the abundance of the final reward."

So I am getting transferred to..... Yucippa at least that is how I think you spell it.  I will be there on Wednesday. I have to say when i firs came on my mission trasferrs didnt seem like that big of a deal. However, they are different than i thought. I had no idea that i was going to love these people and this area so much! I truly have met so many wonderful people who I will always love! Redlands really has become "Holy Ground" to me. I am also so afraid to leave Sister Straatman. I love her!! however we will be life long friends! I am stoked to see what the lord has in store for me in Yucippa. i really dont know how to explain it. President talked to me about my new area and he is expecting a lot out of me the next several months there. He said a lot of success or faliure of this area in the next little while is on my shoulders so please please pray for me! I was told there is a lot of rednecks out there =) Just my kind of people =) I am excited to see!

So I watched an old man fall down some stairs this week. It was the saddest/funniest thing I have ever seen. I can say that now because he is ok. However, I have nver heard so many swear words come out of an old High Priests mouth before!  Well Fam Thanks for all the support! I really love you! I next time i write you I will be in Yucippa or however you spell it!

love ya~

Hey Family and Friends!
Thank you so much for all the emails. They help me so much! I just love hearing from all of you! You all sound like you are doing so great and that makes this sister Very Happy!

This week.... haha I have no idea how to describe this week. I feel like a whole year went by this week. I have experienced my highest highs in the mission and my lowest lows this week.

So lets just start at the begining=) Monday was an awsome p day, Then Tuesday came. It was the weirdest thing ever Sister Straatman and I just felt off for some reason. You have to understand me and Sister Straatman are the best of friends and we never feel that way. It seemed like all day we were fighting the urge to get irritated with eachother. Then all day we felt so weird. We both had no energy, we had huge bags under our eyes, and it was a struggle to make it to that night. We had our last appoinment at 8 with E_____. E______ is someone we have been teaching Since I got here. Her husband is a super less active member and they have a little boy who is 1. They are a young couple who took the lessons with the aps and then agreed to let us teach them again. We felt as if we had hit a wall with her. We had no idea what more we could for her. It seemed as if everyone had given up on her. Even Sister Straatman and I began to loose hope... So that morning before we left we prayed so hard that we wouldnt give up on her too and that we would have the spirit with us. Well by the time we got to her lesson we had both kind of had it for the day. I am very ashamed to admit I had no desire to go teach this lesson. The whole way to the appoinment and to her front door I was pleading with Heavenly Father please dont let me give up on her. Please help her. Please Please Please. Then we went in. The start of the lesson was normal. Sister Straatman asked how her book of mormon reading was going and she said normal and that she still wasnt reading as much as she should. I then asked her "E_____ do you have a testimony of the Book Of Mormon?" I feel so bad to admit that I though the reply was going to be the same as always. "not yet" but this time she replied, "Yes." The room was silent, She then said, "I know it's true. " Neither of us knew what to do! We then asked if she wanted to be baptized and she said yes and we set the date Feb 1!!! Haha after she said that she looked and me and was all , "are you going to cry?"  She never should have asked. I started to cry I was so happy for her! and her family! They want to get sealed someday!!!!!!!!!!! I have never felt that kind of joy before. Straatman and I left so Happy we got home and we just talked about how Satan had been working so hard on us all day. It was the best thing ever!! I didnt at all that night. I was so happy! I prayed all night to continue to bless he becasue i know the advisary is going to be working extra hard. We have been calling all of our ward members and have been asking them to pray for her. I know it is helping.

Then came Wednesday. To start the morning off right we got dropped by 2 of our investigators that were making so much progress.. It broke our hearts for them. This is Eteranl life! Heavenly Father just wants them to come home. Someday they will except it. I just know it. We also had a lesson that night. We brought a sister from our ward. We were there for an hour and a half, it was one of those lessons where our investigator didnt get a word in, and we didnt get a word in, but our member told her whole life story. I even learned the most effective way to potty train little boys =) It's ok though becasue our investigator loved her!!! and so do I =)

Thursday I had my first Exchange, That is were I left sister Straatman to go to a different area and work with a Sister Training leader. I got to go with Sister Y______=) I love her so much. I got to go work in Highland. Our first lesson that night was with an 11 year old boy named J____. He was baptized about 2 months ago. I instantly bonded with J____. Wow talk about a hard life. His parents are hard core drug addicts who locked themselevs in their room all day. He was seperated from his 2 brothers and sisters about a year ago and hasnt been able to speak to them since. He sat there telling me all about how the gospel has changed his life. We read from the book of mormon. My heart was just breaking for him the whole time we met with him. No 11 year old should ever have to be so mature ever! Sister Y_____ got videos of me and him singing togehter. He was so sad that i wasnt coming back and said he is going to pray so hard that I will get moved to his area. It was the sweetest thing ever!!!! I love him! he even walked us to our car and opend my door for me. I am so glad he has the gospel in his life. I will never forget him.

Friday I worked the rest of the day in Highland. We did a lot street contacts=) haha I am still so akward=) I just smile a lot! I loved sister young we laughed a lot and had a lot of funny things happen.I was so excited to see sister Straatman that night though and be back in my area=)

Saturday, Saturday was rough, We started our day out agian by getting dropped by another investigator, and weird stuff happened all day then we got the call. Our Investigator T___  is the lady we are teaching who has had 3 or her 4 children die. Well it is now 4 of her children die. We got the call that night she found her son dead. All of her children are gone....I felt so sick. I dont understand it. There is a lady in our ward who owns a flower shop. We called her up and she gave us a beautiful arrangment for free. She was such a blessing. That night we prayed so much for T____. I didnt sleep.

Then came Sunday, We started the morning off by going to see T_____ . She is all alone now. NO one. We sat and talked with her and helped with some things and find some stuff she needed for the mortuary. and just tried to bring her some peace. She said she felt comforted to know there was a place for him to be happy. Please keep her in your prayers.. Then it was time for church, Church was Amazing! we were both still just feeling weird. Then we go to church and guess what. One of our investigators that we have been working with forever came!!! with her husband! Not only that we had 3 investigators come to church and 2 less actives that we have been working with. They came! they got to feel the spirt. I have never been that happy! The ward jsut took them all in and they sat everywhere. and it was so great! during the sacrament I was just so happy I love all the people in our ward so much and all our investigators and I am so blessed to know all of them! I have never felt this kind of love before.

Then we found out that our zone leader got sent home.. We had a meeting and some bad stuff was going on. It makes me so sad... He helped me a lot in our zone meeting and stuff when I was having a hard time adjusting at first. its been a rough day for the zone today. However, it has made me reflect on the last 3 months. is there a limit to what I will give the lord? I am so thankful I am here. My mission means everything to me. I love it. I love these people even though its hard, we get rejected, horrible things happen that are out of our control but I am here to help people make covenants . To help bind them to heaven once more. To help them start their journy home. where they can kneel at the masters feet. I know that he came, I know that he is the Messiah. He lives and I will not deny it.

haha man this week has for sure been a bi polar week! Im positive that this email if full of grammer and spelling mistakes as usual but lets be honest im just not in the mood of fixing them=) it will take too much effort =) I love Sister Straatman. Im super worried about Transfers. I will know by Sunday where I am going. I will go whever he wants me to go.

Sorry folks nothing too funny happend this week! but just know that i sure love the heak out of all of you!

stay cool

El Happy El New Year!‏

Dear Family and Friends!=)

Happy New year!! I hope all of you ate some great chip dip and set some pretty great goals for the new year even if they only lasted a day=)

OK so first off I would like to apologize to everyone for the way I Have been spelling baptism. I thought for sure  there was a z in there. However much to my dismay it is not spelt baptizem. I'm sure President shakes his head every week when he reads my e-mails. When Sister Straatman realized this she corrected me and we just laughed for a long time. New Years has become my best friend as a missionary! Everyone is all about getting fit for the new year so there are so so many people out!! =) we were able to talk to so many people=) It also became a source of entertinment for Sister Straatman and I. We now play this game called for " for realziez or rezolution." When ever we see someone running or biking we say weather we think they are a for realziez runner or a rezolution runner=) I have to admit sometimes I wish i could be running right along side them. However, California Men need some help with running atire. I saw a whole lot of some people when they were running and yea....

We were able to teach so much this week! It was so great! On tuesday we were able to teach M____and we took sister Feldmen=) Mom I'm so glad you have gotten to know her a little bit! She is my favorite she is so funny and her friend is getting baptized or baptised? IM not sure how to spell that one. and that night we were able to teach S____! S____ is a new investigator that we picked up on tuesday. She is so great! I love her so much the spirt was definantly there during her lesson and I am so excited to keep teaching her. That was the best news years night I have ever had. Wednesday was amazing. We were able to do a lot of less active work. I love less active work. we had a cool story. So we had an appointment to go see someone and when we got there they said they couldnt meet with us anymore, so we were going to go walk this area. before we did we prayed... we both knew that we couldnt walk that area then the though came to my mind go see sisterP_____. Sister p_____ is an inactive lady in our ward who we ahve tried to see several times but she is pro at avoiding us. So we went to see her and.... we got in! We visited with her for a long time and she just cried and said she had prayed that God would show her what she needed to do with her life and then all fo sudden there was a knock at her door and there we were=) we are starting to teach her again=) We also got into 2 other inactives that have been IMPOSSIBLE to go see becasue they were also pro at avoiding us. all of them said they were so glad we came. Then came Chuck.....=) Chuck is so great. Chuck is an 74 year old man who rides his bike everywhere. we have been able to see him a talk to him a little bit here and there. Well we saw him in a dounut shop.. and we went in and sat down at his table and started talking to him, He knows what we do who we are and a lot about missionaries. I then asked him, "chuck Let us teach you," to which he replies " no" and then I said  " Why not?" He then sat there and and then said I dont know. WEll we taught him the message of the restoration right there=) I told him it was only a matter of time=) Then the Elders saw him and they taught him too =) we will get chuck =) This is what the lord wants for him!

On Friday we got to teach a lady, We have been working with her and she has been meeting with missionarys for years. Well this lesson was rough. Her husband  wanted to feed us before before the lesson. We walked in and Taylor Swift was blasting through the house, He knew that we liked taylor swift and thought it would be great. We tried to explain that we cant listen to that but he insisted and wouldnt hear it. So we sat there eating delcious tacos while taylor swift blasted through the house. I went From secretly loving it to calling myself to repentance and feeling so bad then when a knew song would come on getting supper ecited and secrety loving it to feeling super bad agian. I t was a vicious cycle. My two cat theroy was also set in stone that day.... thats all I am going to say about that. Sunday was the best day of all. we were sitting there and one of less actives we visited who hasnt been in years came walking through teh doors!!!!!!!! I was so so excited I gave her the biggest hug ever then she kissed my cheek and I made it super akward. Oh man I am going to be so weird when I get home. But she came to church!!  and we two of our investigators were there!!!!=) Testimony meetings always make me nervous but it was so great!

This week I have really gained a much deeper appreciation for prayer. I have prayed more this week than any other time in my life. I've been pretty sick dang sick this week and the lord has carried me . I have so much father to go to become such a better person and missionary. I was reading Moshia 28:3 and i realized how far I have to go. I am so thankful for the atonment and the plan of Salvation! we have something so important for everyone to hear. I love these people so much! Ihave been studying a lot about patience and I have come to realize that it is more than not outwardly showing your frustration or anxiousness but that it is allining your will with Gods will. or in other words having a repent attitute. Its so funny how my perception of time has changed on my mission. I am so Happy and blessed to be a missionary! Everything I am or ever will become is only becasue of the lord, with out him I am truly am nothing, of that i am sure. However, I matter to him. and so do all of you, please never forget that. He loves you and is waiting for you=)
                                                love you all!
                                                       sister Webb
p.s. Eating tons of Mangos= not a good idea

happy new year!!‏

Hey family and friends!!!

OK so business talk first. 1) don't send any mail to my physical address. For all of you who did something went wrong and i didn't get any of it! sorry! number 2) This is the last e mail I am going to be forwarding to everyone. I my e mail list is getting too long so Im just going to email one to mom and dad and then you can put it on my blog for everyone else who wants to read it or you can forward it for me.............

Sorry I accidentally pushed send!

Anyways.... How was everyone Christmas!!!?? It was so great to see all of you!!! I loved it!! I'm so glad you all had a great day and that my letters finally got there=) Also I am so so so excited for Ben and Mckayla!!!! I expect you to do some good old classic conditioning with this baby. Whenever you say my name or have a picture of me around it you better feed it something awesome so that it loves me! notice I say it... I am excited to see what it will be=) I am also so excited/sad that Nicole and Jaron are moving to Germany for 4 years. Ok the only reason im happy is because we are going to come see you. =)

Christmas here was great. As much as I loved to see all of you I have to say that my favorite part of Christmas was going to see B_______, B_______ is an older lady in our ward who is Less Active, She was completely alone on Christmas and had no one. So we went and listened to her tell us storeis from her childhood and we sang Christmas songs with her. Before we left she just told us how much she loved us and how we truly made her christmas. It was so special to me. We also went and took cards to the people we are teaching and tried to talk to a few people but finding wasn't very successful. I was so blessed to spend Christmas teaching people. I willl never forget this Christmas. =)

I have developed a theory out here on my mission about people and cats...You can have 2 cats per house that's the limit and on special occasions you can extend that to 3. However, once you start going over that you may have a problem... im just saying =) This week I met a lady who has at least 20 glamour shots of her cats up on her walls.... she had 4 cats. People lets keep it safe and have no more thatn 2.....=) thats all I have to say about that.

This week we were able to get to know the A______ in our ward. They are an awesome younger couple who have two little boys under the age of 2. they all slept in a tent in their backyard on Christmas=)  Well they both severed missions. She served in New York and he served in Paris France. They are so great! they hold weekly planning together every week. She was telling us how every single day she sees a blessing for her family and her marriage because she served a mission. It was just so nice to talk to her.

The work this week has been slow still. However, we were finally able to meet with T___ again!! She is so amazing. I am really trying to learn to teach with simplicity. We are teaching a lady named B_____ and I cant get her out of my head/heart. I dream about her I study for her. She knows this is true. I know it and she knows it somethings is just holding her back. I cant wait for the holidays to be over so people will be home again =)

Sorry this lesson is going to be super short. Elder Richards of the seventy called our mission together this yesterday for a surprise mission conference this morning and it was amazing.!! I cant even tell you how much I learned and how excited I am about the work. Ben accused me of being too preachy in my e mails so I will just end with this. This time of year we always get the cute christmas cards  with newsletters about what happened that year. Well I want you to think about the Newsletter you would write to your Heavenly Father and what things you would be happy to tell him about 2013 and what you wish you could tell him and then make sure you can tell him that in 2014. I love all of you so much and I love the people here so much, yes even those with more than 3 cats.... There are days that are so hard but I love it and it is making me a better person 1 peter 4:12-13. love you all sorry i had no time this week =)

love ya,
sister webb

p.s. Tavan is getting married!!!!???? congrats tata

Merry Christmas!

Hey Friends and Family!!!

Can you believe that it is Christmas!!? I sure cant. I feel so much joy that i get to be one of the few lucky ones who are called to preform the work of the savior who everyone is celebrating!

Sooo How is everyone??=)

Well this week was good =) Work has been hard because no one wants to meet with us until after Christmas, but it is ok because Christmas is almost over and then no one will have an excuse=) This week We walked more than I have ever walked in my entire life! It was awesome!=) I finally have callused feet=)

This week we did a lot of member work. If you haven't noticed there has been a huge push on members and missionary working together, so we did a lot of planning on how we could help the members. We were also with a lot of members this week. We have awesome members!!! One lady we have been teaching took us to get pizza this week and baked everyone we are teaching cookies! =) She is amazing. Another eventful thing that happened this week was Tony got baptized!! He is a man the elders have been working with and he kept backing out then on Tuesday he called them and said he wanted to get baptized that day. So we threw together a baptism for that night and so many people came and supported him!! I was so happy for him and for the Elders. However, he wasn't getting confirmed until Sunday. Saturday night I had a dream that he didnt want to get confirmed so we were all running around looking for him. I woke up super worried so I just prayed and prayed all night that he would come. Haha of course he came and it was a wonderful Sunday.(granted I was extremely sleepy from my lack of sleep=)) The Christmas program was great=) I even sang in the choir. =) OH did I tell you we got volunteered to do a special musical number next week? we are singing and a sister in our ward is playing a harp... this is going to be interesting. Dad you arent the only one who is going make the angels plug their ears this year.=)

Christmas: ok here is low down on Christmas. I will be skyping mom and all them @ 12:30 my time. I will probably call first to get everything set up. Mission Pres has asked us to only skype for about 35 min. Then after that I will call dad and Chris=) I am so so so excited to talk/see everyone!!! The rest of the day We are going to go to work=) we will be visiting people who we are teaching who have no one and sharing messages with them. I am excited to spend Christmas understanding it more this year than every other year. I was wondering if you could have ben and Mckayla up on face time so i can see them cause im dying to see my bug and them =)

Last night was an amazing night and here is why. It was pretty cold here last night and we had a bunch of Christmas cards to drop off. So Sister Straatman and me were out walking and when you looked up all you could see were the stars and palm trees. We talked about how that is probably what it looked like in Bethlehem the night the savior was born. It hit me really hard. We walked in the dark singing Christmas hymns together walking past a ton of houses where you could see family parties going on inside and my heart was so full of love for our savior. Not to mention we have a ton of olive trees here. There was no place I would have rather been last night then with numb cold hands, aching feet, sore shoulders, hearing nothing but our footsteps and singing silent night under the star lit sky. I am so thankful that I get to spend Christmas with the savior this year and , instead of just celebrating him.

This is my Christmas thought for all of you this year. Please take time to think about the Atonement and Resurrection this Christmas. He birth was wonderful, but his Atonement and Resurrection is the key to our Salvation!! I have thought so much about the Atonement and have been studying it like crazy. There is so much to it ! The Atonement is the least understood doctrine in the church. I feel I have only begun to scratch the surface of understanding. Please think about your life and think if you are allowing yourself to "walk with the savior" and take full advantage of the best gift ever given. His Atonement and it is free for all men. He is begging us to use it. He is freely handing us eternal life to come unto him and change. Mom I finally got my plaque scripture for bishop and I will end with this, 3 Nephi 18: 32 "Nevertheless, ye shall not cast him out of your synagogues, or your places of worship, for unto such shall ye continue to minister; for ye know not but what they will return and repent, and come unto me with full purpose of heart, and I shall Heal them; and ye shall be the means for bringing salvation unto them." please use the atonement in your life so that he can heal you and bring others to him so that he can heal them. There are two things I am committing you to do this month to be missionary. 1st before Christmas please post the Mormon message, OH come, Emmanuel- Christmas version from the Mormon channel on your Facebook. 2nd, Invite and nonmember family or friend to your house for dinner where you open with a prayer and have pictures of the temple and Christ there. There will fell a difference in you home I promise. I love you all so much and I hope you have such a merry Christmas!!

Also, I sent packages out to Mom, Dad, and Ben and Mckayla last Monday and i don’t think anyone has gotten them yet... I’m a little worried because sister straatmans parents got hers! but i did send stuff for Christmas i promise. Also I love my comp so so so much!!!!

Merry Christmas love you
sister Webb

It's begining to look a lot like summer‏

Hey Family and Friends!

Wow it sounds like everyone is so busy! I' m so glad to hear that everyone is doing so well. Dad and Chris that is so awesome what you did for the YSA activity! Man my family is awesome! Mom you sound as busy as ever! Im so glad you get to spend some time with Aniston=) I’m so glad she loved doing Ginger bread houses! I wish i could see all the pictures but this computer wont let me open things sent from i phones!

This week was Great!! Tuesday was moving day we moved into a little apartment on the other side of town. It was for sure an Elders apartment =) I love the things you find in a missionary apartment! my desk is even complete with Anime =) I love how dumpy it is=) Sister Straatman has been having some stomach issues so we spent some time at the doc this week. I sure hope we can figure it out. I feel so bad for her. On Tuesday night we taught E_____ again...and she got an answer to her prayers!!!! It was the first time she has recognized Gods hand in her life! I was so happy I just wanted to start running! Me and sister Straatman couldn't stop giggling the whole way home after. Its so funny how your investigators become like your dating life and you get on such a high after and awesome lesson!

Wednesday was a lot of contacting and rejection but you just have those days. It’s all about patience diligence and finding joy even when things are rough. We have been praying our guts out for more people to talk to and man Heavenly Father is listening. We talked to so many people! and were able to be bold. We have also been praying for ways to use the Book Of Mormon more in our teaching, our companionship, and in our finding. Guys do you know how awesome The Book Of Mormon is?!!!! read it! However, I am still trying to figure out what Isaiah is trying to say. This day something happened that I didn't think I would have to deal with on the mish. We met a guy and we talked to him for a while and gave him a pass a long card. Well he texted me that night and wanted to take me out. It was the awkward conversation ever because he didn't get why I couldn't and i didn't know how to not talk to him without turning him off from the church. We handled it but it stressed me right out.  We also helped a guy push his mustang to a gas station that day. I bet it look weird two girls in skirts and a guy pushing a car! What a blessing it is that i am so buff.... jk i wish, I was so sore the next day!!!!

Thursday we met C____. C_____ is Awesome. He as worked with members and around members his whole life. However, no one has ever really told him what the gospel is and what it is all about. It was a huge eye opener to me! We need to let people know! This day something super embarrassing happened. So I fall asleep with my retainer in every night and then when I wake up the next morning it is never in my mouth and a lot of times it falls under my bed. Well after we moved I could not find my retainer. So I had to call the elders who moved into our old apartment who just happen to be the AP's. Elder M____ found it under his bed... They then brought it me. I was mortified.

Friday!!! Friday was soo great!! I learned a Few valuable life lessons this day. To start off we had a lesson with Sister B_______. Her husband is a member and and they have been married for 25 years and she has been investigating for 5 years. We have been praying like crazy about what to teach her. She comes to church every Sunday she just doesn't want to get baptized. Well when we left last time we left her with the commitment to think about what she wanted in the eternities and what she was willing to do to get there. We both felt such a strong prompting to explain again what baptism is. I find that right before we have a super awesome lesson or contact I am so nervous before I want to throw up. Well before  this lesson I felt so sick because I was so nervous and it was such an amazing Lesson. The spirit was so strong! it was unlike anything I have ever been a part of before! She turned a huge corner!! she just broke down and started to cry after we had her read a part of the Book Of Mormon. The Book Of Mormon is So powerful! we talked about how Christ never said to worship him he always said to follow him. She will get baptized!!! She will I know it! and the thing is I know that she knows it too =) We had to be very bold and I was scared but Heavenly Father knows his children so much better than we do. After that lesson We were on such a spiritual high!  We were walking and all of the sudden this little dog comes up from behind us and is running down the side walk. I made a stupid joke like " run Benji run" Just then it ran in the road and I watched it "give up the ghost".  It was terrible and I regretted my joke! That put a little damper on the day but we had a couple pretty sweet lessons. Then that night during weekly planning we got a knock on the door. Our Zone leaders were there with huge packages for both of us. Dad and Chris!!! Thank you so much!! I loved it!!!! We both got the 12 days of Christmas Packages! I have been so proud of my self for hardly crying on my mission but i have to admit tears of joy may have fled from my eyes!!! I loved the count down chain and all you did!!!!! Thank you so so much!! I loved it!! Once again we sat there giggling like little school girls! I have the best family in the world. Chris I could tell how much time you spent on it. thank you so so much!! and I got a package from weaves one and only girl Shaylee!! Weave she is a saint!! I love her tell her i love her and thank you so much! and my letter from doozer just made me laugh!!! There was a lot of joy in our run down apartment that night! it was such a great day

Saturday was also way sweet! we didn't have any lessons, but we did a lot of contacts. People were not so nice this day but that’s okay because I love them anyways. That night was the ward Christmas party. So apparently President VannCott is in our ward. It's just funny because he is so busy I have never seen him. Well He was there that night. I am terrified of President for some reason. I love him to death! He is such a great man but im afraid of him! ha-ha anyways we got called up to sing Rudolph the red nose ... me, Sister Straatman, and President..=) I will never forget hearing him sing  " ho ho ho" It was a great night.

Sunday! We had 2 investigators at church!!! I was so pumped. I also participated in the ward choir....and i loved it!! I'm for sure signing up for it when i get home. We also met Colleen in the park. man talk about someone who has a rough life. I have never had so much love for people. Sometimes I feel so sad and so heavy for all these people. I am so blessed and I don't deserve it. I have met so many amazing people. This truly is the Lord’s work. We are his warriors. I have grown so much appreciation for prayer this past week. Prayer is amazing and so powerful! You are a child of god and he wants and needs to hear from us. Christ still prays. I never knew that until I came on my mission. Every day I pray to be worthy enough to have the holy messiah pray for me. I know I can’t do anything without him. WE are so blessed to have him.
